9th Pune International Literary Festival to be held online December 21-23 – Punekar News

Pune, December 18, 2021: the first and only free English literature festival in the city of Pune; the Pune International Literary Festival (PILF) will take place from December 21 to 23. This is the 9th edition of the festival and it would be held online for the second year in a row, due to the COVID19 pandemic.

Dr Manjiri Prabhu, the city’s acclaimed novelist is the founder and director of the festival.

The festival is organized with the support of Vishwakarma Publications as the main sponsor, as well as many other partners. Access to the festival screenings is free.

“The fundamental aim of the festival is to celebrate the ‘Word’ in all its forms, to facilitate a direct connection between authors and readers and to create an inspiring platform for all creative people – at all levels of their careers. , thus promoting the reading culture based on the knowledge and appreciation gained from various arts and crafts. Our partnership with Crossword Bookstores is now in its 9th year and the Salzburg World Seminar is in its 6th year. Our other partners are the Goethe Institute, the US Consulate in Mumbai with notable participation from publishers such as HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Om Books International, Juggernaut, Speaking Tiger, Westland, Readomania, Amaryllis, Oxford Bookstores, Sage Publishing and others.
